Friend or Foe? - Page 2 Empty Re: Friend or Foe?

The Aipom was having fun with the entire thing, and since he couldn't see, Nike's laughter was just encouragement. If he could see how upset Rini was, that might have been a different matter. He was content dragging Jenni around haphazardly, bounding around on his free tail, nearly propelling the poor human from the forest floor in his strength. Of course, like any mischievous child, he soon grew bored, simply using his hands to free himself from the jumper and to stuff it over Jenni's head in a clump instead, chuckling as tidy hair became frizzy and wild as he.

Nike seemed bored now, and Rini looked... Upset? Aipom's big grin turned upside down, sounds concerned as he bounced over to the Ralts, seeming to inquire whatever was wrong with her. He introduced himself with gusto, offering a shorter arm that matched Ralts' shorter one to shake, extending his tail-hand to Jenni. The camp was suitably a war zone, so his job had been done, but maybe the Aipom might help them tidy up or at the very least, cheer up after their active morning?

Friend or Foe? - Page 2 Empty Re: Friend or Foe?

As Aipom bounded along with Jenni in tail, the young woman uttered obscenity after obscenity with each bounce. Small twigs and stones lashed up at her, bruising and scraping her as she fought a losing battle which came to a close shortly thereafter. Jenni was out of breath, exhausted, and quite frankly sore from the whole ordeal. She groaned, clutching the shirt and removing it from her head with a somewhat flat expression. It was worse than babysitting her cousins! However, she noticed the shift in Aipom's demeanor as he approached Rini.

Rini herself was somewhat confused, though more by her own feelings than anything. Aipom had injured Jenni, she wanted to be mad, but something in him made it hard for her to. She sighed, internally forgiving him as she took his stubby arm in hers as a show of good faith. Nike on the other hand was unimpressed with the turn of events. Though injured, she was apparently still on about picking fights, so the somewhat peaceful resolution left her underwhelmed.

Jenni groaned as she rose to her feet. It felt like her whole body was bruised, and her hair was an absolute mess. For now she sucked it up, walking near the others and plopping back to her rear. Her clothes were covered in dirt from being drug through the woods, but she didn't really care much. She pulled her knees to her chest, wrapping her arms around them as she watched the interactions between the Pokémon.

"So you aren't here to hurt us after all," Jenni muttered, watching the Aipom specifically. "What brings you here, then?" She wondered aloud, though she knew she wouldn't understand if the Aipom were to answer. "Are you hungry?" She glanced around the camp, it looked like a family of gorillas and an elephant had torn the place apart. Jenni hummed lightly, feeling herself shut down as the thought of cleaning and reorganizing everything flooded her. Shaking her head, she chose to ignore it for now, until she could figure out the deal with the Aipom anyway. She relaxed, releasing her legs as she leaned back on her arms, smiling a bit. Aipom was a pain, but he sure looked like he was having fun!

Rini muddled about, picking up small items that she could manage to carry. She was still having an internal conflict between wanting to protect Jenni and forgive Aipom. Nike refused to help anyone but herself, instead opting for a tasty looking rock since she was no longer using them as ammunition. "Rini, don't worry about it, I'll pick it up soon..." Jenni said, watching her partner almost bewildered by her actions. Truthfully Rini could tell that it had stressed Jenni out, and only wanted to help ease her suffering a bit. Jenni smiled, sighing and shrugging as she stood back up, Rini clearly ignoring her plea to stop. She wasn't going to let her clean by herself after all. "Tell you what, Aipom, you help us clean the mess you helped make, and I'll make you a tasty plum rice ball!"

Aipom's comprehension of human speech was far from perfect. He watched as Rini began to go around and gather items up, the Larvitar obviously not interested in putting any effort in. The monkey wasn't entirely sure what the person was offering him, but she sounded enthused, and it wasn't like it would take him too long given his agility. Quick as a flash, the speed used before to torment the trio was now being put to use, scooping things up with his tail. Sometimes he flung it into what generally seemed like the right place, but otherwise he was neater about it.

"Aipom! Aipom pom!" The Pokemon bounced on his legs, stubby hands waving at the edge of the camp site when he was done being helpful. If Rini were to translate its calls, she would convey that Aipom apparently had some things to show them.

Once Aipom began quickly gathering the scattered objects, Jenni shifted her attention to her pack. Digging through, she pulled out a small box that when opened revealed multiple rice balls. She had been saving them for a snack later, but figured this was as good as any occasion. She set it to the side for now, doing some more of the delicate clean up work like putting stuff back in her travel pack. Once the camp was packed away, Jenni brought the box over to the hopping Aipom, prepared to offer him one as a treat.

Jenni, I think he's trying to show us something, Rini called telepathically, pointing to the Aipom. Jenni hummed quizzically, raising a brow as she took a step toward Aipom.

"Oh. Right," Jenni said with a pause before she grabbed a pokeball off her belt. "Nike, return!" A red beam shot from the ball, swallowing up the non-compliant team member so that she wouldn't get separated. Perhaps one day she would be able to build up enough of a relationship to leave them all out, but for now she didn't want to take any chances. She hoisted her pack over her shoulder, looking back to Aipom again. "So what did you want to show us?" when she got close she opened the bento box, offering a rice ball to the energetic Pokémon.
