Training Slow

"Slow YAWN" shouted the voice, an older man, roughly around twenty six years old would command the low level pokemon, though at 26 years old this was the first time that the male would be training a low level. His previous pokemon being well over level 90 and having been implemented in to the pokemon league in the Kanto Region. Upon the order being given, the beautiful pink pokemon would open its mouth, the air seemed to become disrupted, as if a heat wave had appeared or a violent wind of sorts. As soon as it appeared it vanished, yet the yawn would be reciprocated via the buzzing Ledyba. The bug type pokemon yawning also. Yet the trainer would command the same move it had utilized through out the battle. The bug pokemon took a charge at the psychic water hybrid. "Slow, Curse" Reni would say. Almost instantly the pink quadruped would shimmer a deep blood red, its body bulking up slightly, this would reduce the speed of the pokemon while at the same time increasing the attack and defensive qualities of the Slowpoke. With the curse in effect, the tackle attack of the Ledyba would be nothing more than a flea bite, annoying but alone futile. Slowpoke wasn't the fastest of pokemon, Reni knew this and was utilizing techniques that would make use of its defensive capabilities, sacrificing its speed further was no real weakness. The Ledyba would come round again. "One more time Curse" uttered Reni. Again like before the Slowpoke would begin to glow that same eery red, it looked incredibly bored, a rather dumb face yet Reni had fallen in love with it. "Counter with your own Tackle" the pokemon tamer would request. Like before, the command was followed. The pink pokemon slow in its movements would begin its "run" or perhaps its incredibly slow power walk would describe it better. The Ledyba would be coming head on and soon the two would collide. Yet the curses job had been successful. The enhanced power of the Slowpoke would allow Slow the capability to strike the Ledyba's tackle and break through its own power to connect with the bug type.

A Fishing Disaster: Wild Encounter!

At the end of the battle, Reni would shake hands with the trainer whom would recall his own bug type pokemon, Utilizing one of his own potions Reni would spray the Slowpoke in the areas wounded this would allow its health to be replenished. "You did brilliant Slow" Reni would say gently as he picked up the blubbery pokemon. Reni had met the Dopey pokemon a few months ago. After the death of Chloe his good friend the Cloyster. Since that day Reni and the Slowpoke had become fast friends. "Sloooow" he would say in that same dopey tone. Upon the end of the battle the curses had worn off, strange how that happens right? "Come on, why don't we do some fishing?" Reni would ask. "Sloooow" he replied in that same tone, yet a difference would be the waggle within the tail. A smile would form upon Reni's mouth as he touched his own forehead to the slowpokes. "I love ya dopey" he would say with a grin, placing the pokemon on the ground Reni would walk slowly beside the pink form. The two heading to the beach located in cherrygrove. It was a small town so even with the slowpoke, the walk wasn't to long. So arriving at the beach, the pokemon trainer would sit down while his pokemon plodded to the water. Who would have thought that Reni's pokemon, the first pokemon that was his and not his fathers would have been such a dopey one. Who would have thought that he would have loved it so much. He would keep his eye upon the dopey pokemon, Reni knew that the single pokemon would not be enough for him to accomplish his goal. He knew that if he wanted to capture Celebi and return to a time when his dad was alive, he would need a powerful team. A team of powerful water type pokemon, the pink pokemon sitting facing him would turn its head, it looked incredibly confused. Was something biting his tail? was something happening within the water? could it detect a presence within the sky? Being a psychic even though dopey it had unique abilities? Something was going to happen but what?

Pokemon Information:

A wild Kabuto was clinging to Reni's partner's tail. Though it was certainly strange that such a Pokemon was in such a location, it was holding tightly onto the pink tail. It seemed to be either licking or biting the white of the tail. Kabuto seemed ignorant of anything else going on, even it's surroundings. "Kabuto!", it let out a cry as it jumped from the tail, using what was Harden to raise it's defensive stat to prepare for a fight.

Go Slow

The slowpoke would be sitting their, idiotic and dopey as always, yet its cute features beat its dopeyness every time. Or thats what Reni thought, its beauty was in its little movements, the odd yawn it would give, the way its eyes never blinked, though creepy had an odd and cute aura. A sudden change would alert Reni of the danger though, The slowpoke would become panicked, Its eyes widened as its shocked face became apparent , it ran...rather ungracefully to be precise. Reni would bend down allowing the pink pokemon to pounce in to his arms, its belly now facing the sky. Its tail fell in wards and from it Reni could see that something had nibbled upon Slow's tail. What it was became apparent, the pokemon would make itself known a pokemon Reni would know off, a rare fossil based pokemon that once roamed the kanto region. Why was it here? Was it possibly a trainers pokemon? or was it wild? Had it been abandoned or simply sleeping all this time? Answers would have to wait.

The slowpoke in his arms now suckled upon its wounded tail, this gave a picture of Reni being a worried father and the slowpoke was his child. A funny image within Reni's mind. Alas though he would smile softly and place his "child" upon the ground. "Ok Slow, lets teach this rock head that it's not nice to bite other people." Reni said with a wink. "Sloooow" was the dopey pokemons reply. "Ok Slow, lets start this simple, use Yawn" of course, a personal favourite of the pink pokemon, its wide maw would open and much like in the training, the heatwave like appearance remained, trailing its way towards the Water rock combination pokemon.

Pokemon Information:

The wild Kabuto didn't make a move to avoid the Yawn that Slowpoke sent at it, instead seemingly allowing itself to get hit by the attack. "Kabu...", it let out, something of a yawn. It's movements seemed to grow sluggish at best as it used Harden once again. It didn't seem too keen to go on the offensive right now, instead setting up it's own defense.

OOC - Sorry, got behind on posts for a few other sites. Just getting caught up now.

Reni would note the secondary use of Harden, yet with the yawn previously released, the pokemon trainer whom commanded the dopey pokemon would slowly reach towards the red and white ball located upon his belt. He would wrap a hand around the small ball yet would not remove it from the belt. "Ok Slow, let's go, charge at it" Reni would order. "Sloow" it would reply. The pokemon would run, its speed not being super impressive in the long run, "Curse" ordered Reni. Upon the command being uttered, the pokemon of pink and white colouring would shine an odd shade of red. Its speed seemingly dropping. Its slow movement made slower yet it continued to charge. "ZEN HEADBUTT" the trainer ordered. The Slowpoke's head would begin to shine, somewhat similiar to that of the northern lights. It's aim was to strike its shining head in to that of the rock pokemon.

Fishing Disaster: A Wild Encounter 079  VS. Fishing Disaster: A Wild Encounter 140
Slowpoke: 100% - No Status - Attack +1 Defense +1 Speed -1
Kabuto: 85% - Asleep - Defense +2

The sluggish Kabuto could only glance up with a look of empty concern as it yawned and took the hit. The Yawn had taken hold, and even the Slowpoke's, well, even greater lack of speed somehow made the hit. The rock-like Kabuto was sent skittering across the ground from the impact, but his hardened body wasn't very phased. This gave an indication to two things: Kabuto most likely had a decent bit more strength level-wise than Slowpoke. Which lead to the fact that it could pack some serious damage if it decided to attack when it woke up. This Pokemon was an oddity, and clearly trained. Even as it dosed off without a care in the world, it was clear that something more was going on with the rare encounter...

Reni would clench his fist's, a smile upon his face as the pink pokemon connected, the zen headbutt though a powerful move didn't even seem to phase the pokemon though, as it skidded along the ground Reni would have to think. Slowpoke had only a few moves, he wasn't that powerful. Not like Chloe, not yet. Biting his lip Reni would consider the pro's and cons to this battle, deciding to continue, the male trainer would look to the pink pokemon. "Ok Slow, curse again, then hit em with another Zen headbutt". Perhaps this pokemon was superior to Reni's, but for now the sleeping pokemon would be unable to dodge...unless it woke up, but the enhancement to Slowpoke would now increase his defense, and attack power even more. Sure at a cost of his speed, but Slow was used to this, it was their form of attack for now. Generally Reni allowed his opponents to come closer to him while using this strategy. Alas this would not be plausable for a sleeping pokemon. So he would be forced to go on the offensive.

Now the same thing would follow, first the slowpoke would take a running start, its speed sluggish due to the first used curse, then the body of the pokemon would turn red, increasing its capabilities further while its speed dropped once more. A dangerous trade off. Then the aura of the zen headbutt would appear, brimming upon the forehead of the slowpoke, a power that would resemble the northern lights all compressed in a single image upon the head of the slow charging pokemon.

Fishing Disaster: A Wild Encounter 079  VS. Fishing Disaster: A Wild Encounter 140
Slowpoke: 100% - No Status - Attack +2 Defense +2 Speed -2
Kabuto: 65% - No Status - Defense +3

Kabuto was in a hopeless situation dodging-wise, due to his sleep. Despite its heightened defenses, the Curse Slowpoke had used was enough to help even the odds... however, using Curse as well as a move took time. Enough time that, after being hit by another Zen Headbutt, caused it to stir. His eyes opened, and it looked as if the Pokemon was actually considering taking the offensive... except that the first action he took was another Harden. Then, without expression, it finally attacked. Its eyes glowed with a green hue, and it became clear that the fossil wasn't just a stupid hunk of recovered rock. It knew the actions that needed to be taken to defeat the irksome Slowpoke, but it had been holding back. For what reason remained to be known, considering it was the one that initiated the fight. It shot out a green energy toward Slowpoke, who would have much trouble dodging it considering its currently lackluster speed. It was an Absorb attack. Two birds with one stone, considering that it would both be super effective and recover some of the rock type's lost health.

In the distance, a few cries could be heard. Kabuto showed interest, but remained focused on Slowpoke. It almost looked irate, like as if it knew the reason for the shouting, but it didn't turn from the fight. The cries were too far to be heard properly, although their repeated frequency probably meant that whoever was shouting hadn't gotten the response they were after yet.
